SAFETY ALERT: AIR QUALITY
It is the official safety recommendation from O.L.L.L. that as long as smoke is visible in the air that NO unnecessary outdoor activities be held. If teams hold any outdoor activity (meetings, practices, etc) then the manager(s) and coaches are required to inform parents of the current air quality as well as any risks that exist with prolonged inhalation of outdoor air.

Due to current conditions – children who DO NOT participate ARE NOT to be held responsible for not attending any outdoor team activity. NO PLAYER shall have any team penalties imposed (i.e. reduced playing time) for not participating in any scheduled or unscheduled outdoor team activity.

Any non-compliance by any manager or coach with this policy will be considered a WILLFUL violation of the O.L.L.L. Safety Policy and be grounds for immediate termination or replacement of the manager(s) or coach(s) in violation.

In late fall a fire was started in some garbage cans that were next to the office door of the main building at our facility. The flames reached high enough to catch the eves, thus burning its way up into the attic destroying much of the electrical, trusses and more.

Thankfully, no one was injured and the fire department was able to extinguish the blaze quickly minimizing the potential damages. As destructive as the fire is, so is the process of extinguishing the blaze.

In addition to the damage from the flames, there is extensive water damages that are far reaching.
